Uncle Mikey’s makes some of the greatest dried fruit in the world, without any weird stuff or sweeteners. The only ingredient is Hawaiian fruit!

There are strict rules and regulations regarding the transportation of Hawaiian produce outside of the state. Essentially, unless fruits are treated at a USDA-approved facility and specially packed in sealed boxes, it’s challenging to enjoy fresh fruit from Hawaii outside of the Aloha State.

Luckily, there's a fantastic dried fruit alternative!

The USDA regulates what agricultural products can be brought from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland to prevent the spread of harmful pests and diseases.

About 20 years ago, a man in Kauai dreamed of selling dried fruit. This dream led to the inception of the much-loved company, Uncle Mikey’s. Ever since, they've been transforming delicious Hawaiian fruits like pineapple, bananas, mango, papaya, star fruit, guava, and coconut into delectable dried fruit treats.

Uncle Mikey’s sources fruit at its peak of ripeness from local Hawaiian farmers, then dehydrates it under low temperatures. The result is the most delicious and vibrant dried fruit that money can buy.

Pro tip: buy at least 2x - if not 4x - more than you think you need. It is really that good!

Opening a bag of Uncle Mikey’s dried fruit is a treat for the senses. The delicious aroma of the dried pineapple is enough to bring a giant smile to your face.

This is especially true if you get a chance to try their dried Kauaʻi Sugarloaf, a sweet pineapple variety that is less fibrous than its regular counterpart. Due to high demand, the dried Sugarloaf pineapple is only available in 4oz bags.

Uncle Mikey’s dried bananas are perfectly chewy and not overly sweet. Their dried Hawaiian Apple Bananas burst with flavor and lack the starchy blandness typical of the common banana variety.

Uncle Mikey’s dried fruit medley offers a little bit of everything in season! Typically, this includes pineapple, banana, papaya, coconut, starfruit, mango, and guava leather, depending on the time of year.

This is the only Uncle Mikey’s product with a little added sugar. This candy is made by caramelizing little bites of fresh coconut meat with brown sugar.

Have you ever tried coconut candy? This delicious gourmet snack takes about three days to make, but if you’ve ever tasted this treat, you know it’s worth every minute!

Uncle Mikey’s passion and generosity are palpable, and it's no wonder their fruit tastes so good! He built this company with support from his wife Ela, his college sweetheart for over 30 years, and their three incredible daughters. His oldest, Malia, now runs operations!

If you’re craving a taste of Hawaii, or looking for a gift that supports a local business, do check out Uncle Mikey’s Dried Pineapple, Dried Apple Bananas, Dried Fruit Medley, and Coconut Candy!
