ALOHA HOME MARKET

Pop-Up Market

Aloha Home Market is a pop-up happening regularly in Kailua and Honolulu

Did you know that pop-up markets frequently take place in Honolulu? They aren't often prominently advertised, but if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, you may just come across something special.

In fact, that's exactly what happened to me this weekend while I was shopping at Macy's at the Ala Moana Center. I love browsing their home goods section (the Hotel Collection bedsheets are the best, prove me wrong) and was hoping to find some great deals. However, before I could get to the third floor, something caught my attention. There was a buzz of activity happening on the second floor, near the jewelry section. Intrigued, I followed the crowd outside to the parking lot that faces the Ala Moana Hotel.

This is when I discovered the Aloha Home Market!

The pop-up market was started by Danielle Scherman, a Kailua born-and-raised real estate agent who launched this pop-up market series for local businesses to connect with the public in fun, accessible settings. The best part is that there is no admission to enter, and it provides a festive and family (and pet)-friendly environment that brings the Oahu community together.

The market featured a robust 60 different vendors, showcasing a diverse mix of Hawaii's artisans, jewelry makers, and entrepreneurs. It had such a fantastic atmosphere, especially when the live music portion started and the talented Rhiana Alana Lewis began singing. And when I was able to get a chance to order some delicious food!

As I wandered through the bustling market, I was struck by the incredible talent and creativity on display. From unique, handcrafted jewelry to stylish, eco-friendly products, there was no shortage of interesting products to check out.

This market happens frequently so do check their website and Instagram account for the latest details. Trust me, it's worth checking out!
