In the heart of Ala Moana, at 808 Sheridan Street in Honolulu, I found a slice of New York City – a taste of the Big Apple in paradise. For so long, I had been searching for an authentic New York-style pizza in Hawaii, and at last, my quest came to an end.

Owner Chef Jared Brown (formerly of Garibaldi‘s pizza in ‘Ohana Hale Marketplace) brings the distinct flavors of his hometown to the shores of Honolulu, paying tribute to his favorite hometown pizzeria of his youth, Patsy’s in Harlem. And truly, Little G’s pizzas are delicious, delightful, and achieve a balance that is exceptional.
The Margherita pizza is a revelation – the ideal balance between crust and toppings ensures that the dough never overwhelms the other ingredients. The crust, thin and airy, delivers a satisfying crunch, while the blend of sauce and cheese is simply divine. His sicilian-style square slices are absolutely the best, especially the classic pepperoni. I’ve also had the pleasure of having the vodka sauce with sausage, an extraordinary flavor combination.
Little G is a breath of fresh air in the realm of Italian cuisine. From the sauces to the sausages, everything is homemade. The outdoor seating offers a chance to sit down and enjoy the pizza in a shady spot with a gentle breeze. And considering Honolulu's typical price points, this place is a great deal, especially considering the high quality, care, and love that is clearly shown.
