I love to listen to a lot of different styles of music, but one of my absolute favorite artists is Frank Sinatra. His music adds an air of elegance to any moment with their evocative lyrics and emotive power. I love to play his tunes on cool nights while I whip up dinner in the kitchen. For me, there is nothing better than blasting "My Way" through my speakers while pasta bubbles on the stovetop. Or slow dancing to "Strangers in the Night" and "The Way You Look Tonight" – ah, pure bliss.

So, when I heard that there would be a Frank Sinatra tribute night at the Blue Note in Waikiki, I knew I couldn't miss it.

Now, anyone who knows me is well aware that I appreciate a good happy hour. That's why, before the show, I decided to stop by Zigu, a hidden gem in Waikiki with an inviting outdoor patio and trendy bar seating.
As I enjoyed some pre-show bites - I ordered the spicy edamame, the delicious potato salad, and the mochiko fried chicken - I found myself reflecting on the timeless allure of Frank Sinatra's music. His velvety voice and poignant lyrics have a magical way of stirring emotions within us all, even decades after his heyday. The bartender also confessed to be a Frank Sinatra fan!
Finally, the time came to make my way to the Blue Note. With anticipation building, I took my seat and eagerly awaited the start of the tribute. As the lights dimmed and the first chords of a familiar tune filled the air, I knew I was in for a treat. And, oh, what a treat it was! The performers masterfully captured the essence of Sinatra's iconic style and charisma, transporting the audience to a bygone era of glitz and glamour. As the evening unfolded, I found myself swaying along to all the classics, feeling as though Ol' Blue Eyes himself was right there with us.
If you are looking for something fun to do, an evening at the Blue Note is a great option. I wholeheartedly encourage you to keep an eye on their line-up of amazing artists. After all, in the words of Frank Sinatra, "The best is yet to come."
